Zig Ziglar, born Hilary Hinton Ziglar on November 6, 1926, in Alabama, was a prominent motivational speaker, author, and sales trainer. He was the tenth of twelve children in his family. Ziglar’s father passed away when he was five, and his early life was marked by hardship. Despite these challenges, he developed a strong work ethic and a passion for helping others succeed.

Ziglar began his career in sales, where he excelled and eventually transitioned into motivational speaking and writing. He became famous for his energetic speaking style and his emphasis on positivity, hard work, and integrity. Over his career, he wrote over 30 books, with his most famous being “See You at the Top.”

The nickname “Zig” comes from his last name, “Ziglar,” and became part of his persona as he built his brand in the self-help and motivational industry. Zig Ziglar’s legacy continues to inspire millions around the world even after his passing in 2012.
