Raf Viniard / Owner/Founder

Raf Viniard is the visionary owner of Clark Fork River Radio, a locally owned and operated Internet radio station nestled south of the Baldy Mountain heart located north of Plains, MT. With a fervent desire to expand his broadcasting reach throughout Northwest Montana and beyond, Raf has positioned himself as a dedicated advocate for the cherished lifestyle of the region, often referred to as the “last best place on earth.”

His love for the media began with the creation, marketing, and successful publication of “Montana Woods N Water,” a premier and popular outdoor publication tailored to the rugged landscapes and outdoor enthusiasts of Northwest Montana. This venture not only showcased his entrepreneurial spirit but also solidified his connections within the community and laid the groundwork for his future endeavors in broadcasting.

His journey on the radio traces back to his days as an Air Force Recruiter stationed in Western Kentucky during the mid-80s, where he cut his teeth producing compelling Public Service Announcements. It was here that Raf’s deep love for music and community engagement began to take root, setting the stage for his later endeavors in broadcasting.  Since his military retirement in 2001 he has expanded his interest in media production.

Raf’s commitment to authenticity and connection shines through in every aspect of his work. From curating a diverse range of nostalgia music genres – from classic Country to timeless Rock and Pop hits of the 70s, 80s, and 90s – to actively supporting local initiatives and events, Raf’s station serves as a beacon of entertainment, information, and inspiration for listeners near and far.

Beyond the airwaves, Raf is the owner of Huckleberry Contracting LLC, an avid outdoorsman where he finds solace and adventure in the natural beauty of Northwest Montana. Whether he’s casting a line on the Clark Fork River with family and friends, pursuing elusive wildlife in the surrounding wilderness, or spending cherished moments with his beloved wife Pam, Raf reflects on the beauty of God’s beautiful creation and God’s abundant grace.
